I am creating a new workout class that I am calling "Zumbarre". It's a combination of my two favorite workouts: Zumba and Barre. This class will be 30 minutes long with 4 dances; 4 Barre segments; and a cool down. We will alternate each song between Zumba and Barre, which is going to support with getting optimal results. You can expect to get more of that cardio with the Zumba, and then more of the toning/strengthening with the Barre. The dances will serve as an active recovery, because they will allow your muscles to recover before the next Barre segment, while still keeping your heart rate up with dancing. For those of you that aren't familiar with Barre, it incorporates small isolated low impact movements, which supports with getting those long; lean; and toned bodies- aka a "dancer body". I'm very excited about this workout coming out, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
With all that being said, I am going to do some more demos to break down the dances and barre segments, so that you are fully ready when the workout video is released. Below you will find the first dance of the Zumbarre workout class. It is to "Senorita" by Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello. We will walk through the moves together, and then do it with the music. Just like all of my other dances, the moves will repeat so no dance experience is required!
